Sourcing parts

So a good thing to always keep in mind is the sourcing of your parts. The important thing to remember is to keep your costs as low as possible but also make sure that the quality of your parts is of a good standard. Don't settle for substandard materials because then your pieces will not come out the way that you hope they will.

When i first started out, i used to get my parts from a shop in northcliff corner but over time, the parts became very costly so eventually i became friends with quite a few people who had the parts lying around and taking up space. So they started to donate anything they were not using to me. I just collected my fourth donation this morning. There is so much stuff in these boxes that i am going to have a lot of fun creating some more beautiful pieces.

There are alot of places that you can go to source your parts and accessories such as packaging etc. Even your local markets in town are a good place to go because you will probably get them at a lower price. The variety will also be alot wider so you will have more to choose from which will allow you to expand your variety of stock that you produce.

If the quality of your parts is good then your pieces will turn out just the way that you want them to. Always remember that, Shop around, you never know what you might find. Its always a good idea to keep your options open in terms of where you go to get the things you need. If the quality shows to be reliable then your supplier becomes aware that they will get repeat business from you which will allow for them to be able to help you get the best quality good to create even more beautiful pieces that will boost your business immensely.
