If I think long and hard about the things that I have done in this past year, I can probably say that I achieved and did more than even I thought I would. I returned to events that I had to take a break from due to work commitments or injuries. I even achieved almost all of the goals I had set for that. The last one was the most difficult one and I am carrying that one over into 2020 and setting another target for it. The goal is to break 25:00 minutes and to do my 100th parkrun. This year I completed 41 events and doing my 50th one was one of them.

Another one was to launch my website/online store of which this blog is a part of it. That was a spur of the moment decision which was the best decision I ever made. Although it hit hit a bit of a slump in the later part of this year, I have now successfully bounced back from it. I joined LinkedIn and have the biggest following and network on that site out of all my social media profiles. I am really and truly now finding my confidence to show myself in a completely fearless way online and you will see so much more of it going into and through out 2020.

It does feel quite surreal given how 2019 started and now, just hours away from 2020 it is starting in a big way. I am so excited for the coming year. It feels so weird that it is only 3 and a 1/2 hours away but its true. This year has flown by. It literally feels like yesterday that we were about to ring in 2019 and now here we are on the brink of entering into 2020.

From a painful start to the year entering 2019 when I was left in tears along with the rest of my family with the death of my maternal grandmother. This year is going to start on a positive note with big things on the way in all aspects of my life. I now carry her very close to my chest and heart in a locket with a photo of my grandfather as well as they were reunited on that night after more than 11 years apart. That is what made it so much easier to deal with at the time. There has been a lot of strain and tension among many family members over the last year but the healing has now truly begun having gotten through that dreaded year of firsts without her.

I really wish for us all to have such a blessed year and one filled with prosperity in all areas of your lives. I am anticipating the same for myself and my family for the coming year.

Whatever your plans are be safe, have fun and enjoy the new year. Live each day to the fullest and make the most of every single day. It is also a leap year, so 366 days to write the best story of your lives. 366 opportunities to make the most of and create the best memories in the world. Each day is an opportunity to write the best story of your life, This year will definitely be that for me.

I may not have my brother here with me, as he is in Dubai but I know that this will be a great year for us all. I still have so much that I want to do with my life and this coming year is going to bring me so much closer to achieving all of that. 2020 is definitely going to be my year and I am going to make sure that happens.

See you all in 2020 when I start my story of all that is to come in 2020 and I want to make you all a part of it.

Have a blessed evening and Happy New Year to you all.
