Protecting our women and children

As we draw into the final days of #16daysofactivism let is all remember that we should be protecting our women and children everyday for 365 days a year and not just for a limited period. I have seen so many of my friends and family suffer at the hands of the men in their lives be it a family member or even their own partners beat them black and blue and abuse them mentally and emotionally as well.

Every year this disgusting scourge just gets worse and worse and far more needs to be done about it. We constantly hear about it on the news and in the media and hardly any of the perpetrators pay the price for their actions and it makes me sick to my stomach when they get away with it. This is the second time that I was on the receiving end of it and both times the suspects have never been caught.

Gender based violence is really something that nobody wants to talk about it especially in some of the cultures where they see it as normal behaviour where sons are treated like gods and are groomed to see themselves as exactly that. It is disgusting..

There is a quote from well known author William Golding that goes along the lines of. "Women cannot be seen as our equal because they are far more superior. If you give her sperm she will give you a child, give her a house and she will give you home, giver food and she will make you a meal, everything you give her she will multiply so if you give her crap get ready to receive a ton of shit." And this is very true.

Another very old expression says "Man is the head of the household but woman is the neck that turns the head." So gentleman, you better start changing your ways and respecting the women in your lives and women in general the way they deserve to be treated.

Fathers teach your sons to respect every woman no matter what and treat her like gold and ladies make sure that your daughters do not find themselves on the receiving end of any kind of violence against them and if as a woman you find yourself in that position stand together and support one another.

I have alot more to say about this and my own life experiences and you will know all about me and my life because this brand is all about where my life started and where it is going. That is why it is represented in this way. We are all custom made to do something great in this world. What's your great?
