Lockdown extended

I am so gutted right now. Our lockdown has just been extended by two weeks. The good news is, that South Africa is winning the fight against this horrible disease. I hope it does not get extended beyond that. I will admit that this time has been a blessing in terms of me being able to do all the things that got put on hold up until this point. I was hoping to be able to get back to going for my walks and runs in the morning by next weekend but I think I can hang on a bit longer and get me head in the right mental space. I have been very open about those struggles. The upside is that I am overcoming all of that. That is why I feel as positive as I do these days because back in school, that would not have been the case.

So both a blessing and a curse but it means I have more time to do the things that I don't normally get to do. At least you still get to see all of my beautiful looks that I create each and everyday. So I am going to show you today's #ootd pre-Easter weekend. Here she is, and then also catch up with yesterday's look as well.

Yesterday's #ootd

Now for the day's shining star

And the midweek starlet

Absolute beauties which I am very proud of and am so glad I put in the time to bring them to life. The confidence in me continues to grow exponentially on a daily basis so get ready because you are going to see looks that will inspire you beyond your wildest dreams and really live your life on your own terms. That is one thing I will always encourage you to do and be.

This picture is of a woman who has and continues to grow into the best version of herself.

This is a top that I acquired recently and has become a personal favourite very quickly

I got this top for my birthday two weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with it the minute I saw it and just had to get it. Best thing I ever did. It has a slightly wider neck but it is so comfortable and suits my active lifestyle perfectly.

Even though I find myself in quarantine for a little but longer than I would have liked, I am still glad that I currently remain unaffected by it because I am somebody who makes my health a priority on a daily basis. This is very important to me and has also been drummed into me from an early age. That is what happens when you are the child of a nurse.

I have always loved what I do in terms of the jewellery that I make and I also want to inspire those that do find themselves in the position that I was in many years ago. I want to spread hope that it is possible to get through it and live a more positive life and the first step is to choose to be yourself no matter what anybody says or does to make you think otherwise because at the end of the day, they are the ones that don't want to face their own issues and want to see you held back from growing into the best and strongest version of yourself.

I am living proof that it is possible to overcome mental health issues and to live a healthy and prosperous life that is of your own creation. This lockdown may be a blow to many people living here but right now it is necessary and will benefit the whole world in general if we just keep doing our part and just stay home and keep ourselves safe from harm.

Here on home soil, the measures put in place by government may seem outrageous to some, like my neighbour across the road who seems to think this is the perfect time to be going out everyday and making a fat party out of it. What does he honestly need to go out for everyday and have visitors all hours of the day. It is insane. This isn't a party but at least it means that those of us that are doing the necessary to protect ourselves and our loved ones will get through this, as hard as it is.

I will be honest, that I don't like being indoors constantly, I actually have things to do here at home so the peace and quiet, barring the dog barking at every turn, is actually welcome at the moment. I can actually see the horizon and the areas around me clearer than they have every been in my 34 years on this earth. It has been so beautiful to see everything so clear and healthy and beautiful.

Anyways, I could go on and on but I do still need to get some sleep so, I will see y'all tomorrow.

Have an awesome Easter weekend everybody
