Heartbreak during the month of love

Yes, it does happen quite often. I had it happen to me ten years ago. My now ex-boyfriend, decided to end our relationship via a text message, not to my face which would have been more appropriate but by sending a message to say that he was sorry but he could not be in a relationship in the state he was in. How could he love someone else if he didn't love himself, he hates himself. This was sent four days after Valentine's day. As a result, he left me crying for three days, totally inconsolable. My first real relationship and my first love and he did that to me. It took me two and a half years to really get past it.
I was so angry with what he did, it took me a long time to forgive myself and him for this. Don't ever say it will never happen to me because it will. I honestly doubt that would have happened if not for his ex whom he went back to after leaving me. She only caused trouble and manipulated him because he got together with me.
Nobody in his family ever liked her and warned him many times to get away from her. He learned this lesson the hard way.
If I think about it now, I am actually glad things ended because it helped me to grow into the person that I am today.
That person is the one in this picture
This woman was doing very little smiling back then. Now there is always a smile on my face.
This person has become a designer and is becoming the person she was meant to be every single day and only gets stronger and stronger as a person as each day passes.
Here is today's #ootd
Yes, heartbreak is painful but it is how you respond to it that shows how strong you are and how fast you can get past it and grow from it. This has taken me up until this point to get this far ahead in my life. I admit that it has not been easy but I did make it through.
I have grown so much that I can show my true self without any kind of fear in anyway.
Got so many more stories to tell but that is for another day
So, until next time, see y'all soon
