Over the course of the past few weeks. I have been cleaning out alot of stuff that has been taking up space in my house and just generally congesting my life. They say that a regular decluttering is very good for your mental health and general well-being because when you throw out all the old stuff, you have space for new and amazing things that allow for you to grow and become a better version of yourself.

I have found that I have been holding onto a lot of things that should really have been let go of a long time ago. I have also found that I can breathe alot easier since throwing it all in the trash. It is very important to let go of your past and to leave it there, especially the painful bits. Holding onto that pain and suffering will only hold you back.

So this is a bit of a #mondaymotivation post to let you know that it is okay to let go and move on with your life. It can be very hard in the beginning but it will be well worth it. This has been a very hard lesson for me over the years but it is also a lesson that I am glad to have learnt.

I think over the last week alone I have thrown out an entire black rubbish bag full of things that I have been carrying around with me since school and university days even. Those things got thrown out now and have now made so much more space for me to fill up with amazing new things.

As a result, this smile has become more and more genuine and as real as I have always been. I am definitely becoming this person more and more each day.

This is also yesterday's #ootd

I have also found that enjoying my nature walks through the park outside my house also helps to declutter my mind and organise my thoughts and allow me to have a calming and relaxing day

It has also occurred to me that seeing all of my amazing friends every weekend is also a great way to de-stress and to just let go of anything on your mind. I have the best friends in the world

Eileen Botha, a wonderful friend and dog walking companion. We walk her dogs on a regular basis around the dam together. Quite refreshing

Brianna Jarvis, daughter of Kimberleigh and Dean Jarvis and younger sister to Kendra. Such a bubbly personality and lover of life. She is such a genuine and helpful person, also a talented dancer alongside her sister and at just shy of 10 years old, one of the smartest kids I know.

Pam Van Wyk, the chief organiser of our group of friends. Every week she makes sure that we have our coffee and social supplies together for a great little chill session after the run. She also makes some of the most delicious baked goodies I have ever had. Her cakes are divine.

Trevor Burt, Gordon Carpenter, Carol Burt, Kathy Sole, Marie Nealon, Judith and Frans, Nana, Rob Thomson, Linda Burton-Durham, Titus Judah and of course, Keith Scafturis and Yola Bastiman. This amazing crowd of people make everything in terms of friends worthwhile. So supportive and so encouraging in every aspect of life.

I love them all to pieces and am so thankful for each and every one of them.

Who needs enemies when you have such special people in your life. They are a huge blessing to me and I can honestly not imagine my life without them.

So you see, you can de-clutter in all sorts of ways and still have an amazing time growing into the greatest version of yourself.

Some say it is a waste of time and those that say that are the ones that have to do it in the biggest way because the hold onto and dwell on the past. Let go of the past people, you cannot change it, not then, not now and not ever.

Clear out all the nonsense and rubbish that you are holding onto and make room for new and amazing things in your life. I can guarantee you that once you start, you will be so glad that you did.

I am actually one of those people that embraces change and new things. I love seeing new growth and shoots on the trees and the wonderful new baby animals and all the new things around me each and every day.

Its amazing what new things that you will find when you just open your eyes and look around you and admire everything that you can be thankful for. Including the chance to build new things into your life all the time, every single day.

Now go and clear out the clutter people and make way for new things.

Until next time, see y'all soon.

Thank you. We are just a few of many in this world. I think we will be the ones that teach others how to get through it all
