Confidence is everything

I say this for one reason. People have this strange way of saying that it all about having the right clothes or makeup or something ridiculous along those lines. This is a load of rubbish because true confidence comes from within. It is state of mind, it is a feeling and that feeling is expressed form the inside out, not the outside in. Please get that right.
I speak from personal experience and taking a long and arduous journey in building my own. Having endured a very harrowing past in which I was knocked down thousands of times for just being myself. I had to literally make the decision and it was not an easy one initially but I made a choice that I was going to be myself, as I have said many times. I have been on this journey for a good 11 years now, my true confidence did not build overnight. I had to let go of a lot of pain and anguish to get to where I am today
When I was ready for something to come into my life, it has come into my life almost effortlessly. I never once said that I wanted something in particular, I just said to the universe that I was ready to have it in my life in the way that it was meant for me. I have those things and I am truly grateful for them each and every day.
The confidence that I have now shows in every picture that I take and everything that I do. So, without further ado, here is today's #ootd:
I want you all to bear in mind that right before I made that call to be myself, I would never have worn anything in this photo except the sneakers with very baggy and loose fitting clothes, and I had that type of look for many years until I got to the point where I am now.
So, let's look at the star of the day, my pride and joy:
One thing that I want every single one of us to remember and I showcase this with each and every design that I put together. Each one is unique and special in its own way, it is structured to stand out just like each and every one of us.
Now, I chose the path that I am on now because I wanted to encourage everyone in the world around me and beyond to embrace who we are as individuals, I represent the whole idea of custom made in this way because each and every one of us is exactly that, custom made, that is my true message. That is why I always put #beyourself #loveyourself in each and every one of my posts on my social media feeds because that is what I want each and every one of us to be.
Being confident has nothing to do with adding filters to our photos. We are only fooling ourselves if we change a light setting to make people believe that we are that perfect looking, it actually looks so unnatural. I will admit that I also initially used filters for a little while but I stopped doing it as soon as I found that confidence inside of me and I have let that show ever since. I don't have perfectly straight hair or teeth or facial features or even perfect skin. I am anything but, I just embrace my natural flaws and imperfections and show myself just as I am. That is what true confidence is, showing yourself as you are and not being ashamed or embarrassed about it.
Alot of people say they are on a journey to find themselves by changing jobs or doing something out of the ordinary thinking they will find who they are in a material world. If you really want to find yourself, look on the inside and look in the mirror and accept exactly what is looking back at you through that glass. Look inside your heart and soul. You will find that the person you were searching for has been there this entire time, all you had to do was be that person, no holds barred, no questions asked. Those that truly accept you as you are are the ones that will stick by you and will always be around in your life, no matter what.
Now, I am writing specifically about this today because we are in a time where because of situations such as the current one with #coronavirus where everything that is available to hide all our flaws and imperfections is currently unavailable to us reveals our true nature and appearances. It is time to stop hiding away behind wigs and weaves and all the other things and accept ourselves as we are. Yes, it makes us look really nice but it doesn't change the fact that it is still material, it is an illusion.
No more living in the fantasies of a materialistic world, live in a natural state of mind and be you. Just let the universe show you how things should be in your life, don't run from it anymore.
Now with that said for today, I will see y'all tomorrow
