Children's birthdays

Anybody who knows me knows that I absolutely adore children, especially small children. They can literally wrap you around their fingers and absorb you into the world through their eyes in the blink of an eye. Now today, I went to the birthday party of such a child. This little darling came into the world a year ago today and is already showing how smart she is and that she is going to be a high achiever at school just like her older sister after just one week in creche. This little darling's name is Philippa Joy Hamman and today is her 1st birthday. She is the youngest daughter of my friend Suzanne and her husband Deon. The party was very simple and very small but thoroughly filled with so many laughs that it literally took every ounce of energy I had to keep up because this little angel and her cousins were literally running around like nothing else out there.

All absolutely adorable children but with so much energy. I ran five kilometres this morning thinking it would give me a boost to keep up, I struggled but just being around these little angels was a breath of fresh air. It has been a while since I could be around small kids and I still thoroughly enjoyed my time with them.

It was also really nice to see the family because I had not seen them for many years So a nice relaxing afternoon of swimming in a rather small but very cold pool was also quite refreshing. It was a nice relaxing afternoon to celebrate a little darling's first birthday.

This little angel is going to bring many years of joy to her family. She is so lively and entertaining just by living for the simplest things and already having a good taste in music. She loves the energy that music brings to her world. She has such a vivid imagination and will do very well as she grows up. She will be one who makes her family proud and will go on to do great things in this world. It is showing very quickly. She is a very inquisitive child who just wants to know and see everything around her. This is a good thing, and she will really come to appreciate what she has in her life and those who love her This is the first time I personally met her and it did not take long or much to get this child to be drawn to me. Children get drawn to me quite easily once they are around me for long enough. It happened with her sister and it has happened with her too.

Happy birthday Philippa, I know you had a wonderful day today and I hope that you are blessed with a wonderful year ahead and continue to make everyone around smile and bring more joy to the lives of all your family and friends that you make in your life. I love you so so much.
