Beating the odds.

Not many of us can say that we beat the odds especially in times where we should not have survived. I found myself in that position in recent years when I got mugged and was dragged by a car.

I was on my way to meet someone at their house to discuss some business matters and just meters away from the house a car pulled up next to me and grabbed my laptop bag. As this is what they were after. My survival instinct however kicked in and I fought back. I have never been the type of person to back down from a situation no matter how good or bad it is. I will see it through to the end.

The getaway was a disaster for them and they ended up screwing up their getaway. As consolation they got my cellphone. The laptop bag was dropped and was thankfully not damaged. I however was wearing open shoes that day and ended up with some horrible injuries to my legs and feet. They have since closed and are slowly healing well.

After the attack I managed to get up to their house where I was able to clean up a bit before being taken back home. From there my mother was contacted and she cleaned up my wounds properly and I spent the night with them. It is also quite a good thing that they were living next door to me at the time so this was quite convenient.

There have been many other times where I have faces similar circumstances and have come through. I will tell you about them sometime soon.
